This week, Big K.R.I.T. announces a mixtape, while Juvenile's tape gets a gentle push to late February.

The first month of 2012 is already gone, and February is upon us. We're witnessing and interesting trend on the music front right about now. Before, mixtapes existed to hold us over until an actual album dropped. Now, however, even the mixtapes are experiencing delays. So what do we do with all of this free time? Well, Big K.R.I.T. is helping us out. Last week he dropped a track called "Boobie Miles" and it shot right to the top of our Top Singles chart last week. The song is off K.R.I.T.'s new mixtape "4Eva N a Day" coming February 20th. Where is Live From the Underground you ask? Who really knows, but until then, let's hope the mixtape comes on time.

This week Pill is supposed to drop "The Epidemic" but considering we're still waiting for Juvenile's "Mardi Gras" now that it's moved to February 21st and Gucci Mane's "Trap Back" is on ice, it seems like nothing is on time. By the way, the Tech N9ne and Twista mixtape we reported a few weeks back is false. If you'd like to hear them both on a track, though, peep T.T.'s "Midwest Meltdown." Valentine's Day shows some R&B mixtape promise from Raheem DeVaughn and Bobby V's a day early, while Yung Berg and Yung Joc bring out some mixtapes of their own on a TBA release, both hosted by DJ Smallz. As March starts, Gorilla Zoe was supposed to drop "Gorilla Zoe World" on March 1st, along with Lil Scrappy and Gru$tle Gang's "Concorse G." Both are on hold. Despite a slew of pushbacks, there is always room for surprises. via hip hop dx
